It is reported that about annually 40 elevator accidents occur averagely nationwide from 2005 on, 30 dead involved. In 2010, the accident rate and death toll per ten thousand elevators is respectively 0.26 and 0.17 in China.In 2011, 56 elevator accidents occured, which caused 41 people died.In 2012, 36 elevator accidents , which caused 28 people died,the accident rate and death toll per ten thousand elevators is respectively 0.15 and 0.11 in China. There were 17 accidents related to the elevator safety occured in China during January -May, 2013. Of it, 12 died. As public report, there are more than 10 serious elevator accidents in May 2013, several people died. In 2013 whole year, there are 48 casualty accidents occured, 36 people died. On June 20, 2013, General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China,official released that the main technical reasons causing elevator accidents are brake failure and accidentally car door opening.
